A number of capital improvements have been made to our various athletics and recreation facilities.
The exterior of the Dorough Field House was painted and the roof repaired. The exterior was further enhanced by the addition of new landscaping. Inside, the lobby of Schmidt was recarpeted and a rock climbing wall installed.
The Athletic Center laundry room was completely redone with new equipment, flooring and soon to be paint. The fitness facilities also saw a major upgrade, with new rubber flooring in the free weight area, fresh paint, and over $75,000 in new equipment, including 11 cardio pieces (4 treadmills, 3 elliptical trainers, 3 exercise bikes and a spin bike), 8 new Matrix strength machines, a new Smith machine, and a new 5-stack.
The soccer field has been given a face-lift, thanks to the generosity and time of our soccer players’ parents. Even the baseball field has received an upgrade, with an attractive new backstop (a floating net).
A large project to revamp the track and field facility has also been completed.
