In-house renovations were completed this summer on the first floor of Hearst Hall. The renovations replaced outdated classroom space and vacant areas with ten glass-walled classrooms and a small study room, all filled with new projection systems and furniture. The renovations were funded by Oglethorpe’s global education partner Education First, and the rooms house classes for their English language center.
The renovations took place in the former site of the school bookstore, which moved to the Turner Lynch Campus Center when the building opened in 2013.
The remodel did not disturb the crypt of civilization also located on the floor.
