The World is our Classroom

EF Facility Phase II, 10.11 (1)

During the summer of 2012 the ground floor of Robinson Hall, previously unfinished space, was converted to beautiful loft-like offices and classrooms, made possible by Oglethorpe’s new partnership with the company EF (Education First). As part of the partnership, EF has invested in the build-out of the lower level of Robinson, along with the renovation of Schmidt Residence Hall, where EF students now reside.

EF is the world leader in international education.  Founded in Sweden in 1965, EF now has 16 divisions offering a range of programs, including language schools, educational travel, cultural exchanges, and academic degrees. They operate 400 schools and offices in more than 50 countries with a network of more than 34,000 teachers and staff.

EF International Language Centers, a division of EF, provides young adults worldwide with instruction abroad in one of seven languages.

EF operates an English language center on campus. Oglethorpe also partners with EF on international student recruitment initiatives and new study abroad opportunities.
